Ear Infections - Natural Support

Your question cannot be answered in detailed recipe format of exactly which natural remedies to use because it assumes you have medical knowledge. I will not assume that.
Childhood ear infections 98% of the time (in my experience) are due to food allergies/food sensitivities (best diagnosed by an ELISA blood test AND electrodermal screening), or due to a viral infection. Very, very rarely is an ear infection the result of bacteria and warrants an antibiotic.
Complications from a bacterial infection include mastoiditis and meningitis and the fear of this happening leads many doctors to overprescribe antibiotics unnecessarily.
Complications from antibiotic use include candidiasis, lowered immune system, diarrhea from bacterial overgrowth, leaky gut, etc., etc., etc.
As well, does your child truly have an ear infection? Seeing that a specialist diagnosed this problem, I'm going to assume that your child indeed does have this problem. Many times I have looked into children's ears immediately after the parents have left their MD's office in order to get my opinion because they did not want their child on antibiotics. The MD would prescribe an antibiotic for an "acute ear infection", and there have been times that I determined not only was the antibiotic unwarranted, there was no natural therapy that I would even prescribe because there was no infection present in the first place.
I'm assuming your child has an ear infection. You don't state whether your child has a fever. If your child is screaming or pulling the ear. If she is sleeping, etc., etc., etc. This information is important in determining what your child needs.
My own child has had numerous past ear infections and has never been on an antibiotic. But then again, I am a naturopathic doctor and I can examine her and monitor progress.
I have used many different treatments and different remedies for her at different times in order to help resolve the issue. Herbal medicines, homeopathic medicines, ozone therapy, vitamin/mineral therapy, chiropractic manipulation, etc., etc.
I will attempt a Recipe, but it will be very, very short.
Thanks for your Testimony. Makes sense. Similar outward symptoms can be the result of a wide variety of underlying causes. So there's not just one simple Recipe-that-fits-all.
