How-to: Qi gong

Posted February 21, 2007, by drLove

Do you want to feel like you're plugged into the universe? Give Qi gong a whirl.

Ingredients:

  • your desire to learn
  • "The Way of Energy" by Master Lam Kam Chuen, which is a fabulous book if you want to learn just by reading a book
  • DVDs, videotapes, cassette tapes on Qi gong if you want to learn in this way
  • a workshop or class on Qi gong taught by a master (or someone who has been trained), is another way to learn
  • comfortable clothing
  • outdoors if the weather permits this
  • shoes (I always feel more balanced and grounded wearing my runners)
  • headphones with your favorite music (this heightens the universal plugged in experience for me)

Steps:

  1. Choose a method of learning Qi gong that best suits you.  Purchase a book, DVD or attend a Qi gong class.
  2. Commit to yourself to do this every day.
  3. Do this out in nature, if possible.  Doing it inside your home is also wonderful.
  4. Choose inspiring music and put your headphones on.
  5. Feel the energy circulating into you, through you and out of you.  Close your eyes if this helps.
  6. Visualize bright white light while you are in your static poses.
  7. Visualize white light entering the crown of your head, flooding your body and descending into the earth.
  8. Visualize white light entering the soles of your feet, flooding your body and ascending up into the sky.
  9. Visualize white light coming into your body from all around you and going back out into space, continually being recycled in and out.
  10. Express gratitude when you are finished.

to drLove: I might have to agree with you about this Recipe. My wife and I have just started doing Qi Gong and early results are amazing. I'll put in my own Recipe and Testimony after we've tried it for awhile.

This is the best flipping recipe on the entire site. I may not have thought it was so great if I hadn't written it myself!!!!!!
