How-to: Avoiding alcohol completely

Avoiding alcohol completely does not only improve the lives of "alcoholics". It helps improve the lives of all people (except for the people involved with the wine, beer, and booze industries).

Ingredients:

  • an alcohol-free home
  • your understanding of how alcohol interferes with liver detoxification and encourages disease
  • your own comfort level within yourself when you are at social events (i.e. you don't need anything to "loosen up" or feel uninhibited)
  • your stand to break the social mold of what is "normal"
  • your appreciation for the finer things in life:  awesome health, true intimacy and a desire to be high on life

Steps:

  1. Knowledge is power.  Understand the deteriorating effects that even a mininal amount of alcohol has on your health.
  2. If you indulge, reserve it for a total of 3 times per year, and in minimal amounts.
  3. Choose water or juice at parties, restaurants, and other social gatherings.
  4. Make toasts with carrot juice.  Now that is truly toasting to health!!!
  5. For alcohol cravings, also avoid sugar, take B complex vitamins and take L-Glutamine.
