I also agree with amelia. But although I love all of nature, I find that hiking in the mountains is more likely to bring out that exhilarated, soaring feeling in me. Maybe I just come from a long line of mountain people (versus cave, or beach, or river, or desert people). :)
Absolutely amelia. I'm just partial to mountain hiking, but you're so right. Give me ocean, desert, caves, parks. I'll take 'em all!!! Hiking in all of these areas makes it easier to help us connect with our own beautiful nature.
it doesn't have to be mountains. just being out in nature is awesome. a walk along a river. a kayak in the ocean. exploring caves. a hike in the desert. even a walk under a big old maple tree in a local urban park. (although I confess a passion for wilderness)!
Agreed! Just bliss. I like going out my myself too in our local mountains. No bears or big cats to worry about. I think I'll put in solo hiking as a recipe.
