How-to: Coffee Enemas

Posted March 17, 2007, by drLove

Enemas quickly remove toxins from the colon and body to improve health significantly. Coffee enemas detoxify the liver by rapidly emptying the colon, enhancing liver detoxification, increasing the flow of bile and eliminating toxins through bile.

Ingredients:

  • 3 Tbsp. fresh ground organic coffee
  • 4 cups distilled water
  • glass or enamel pot (no Teflon, aluminium or iron)
  • very fine sieve
  • enema bag with tubing including short insert enema pipe no larger than 2 inches long
  • olive oil

Steps:

  1. Bring coffee to a boil, boil for 3 minutes, and then simmer for 15 minutes.  Strain using fine sieve.  Allow this liquid to cool down until it is comfortably warm to the touch.
  2. Tie or hook up enema bag onto a shower rod.  Close clamp on tubing, pour coffee into enema bag then clear tubing of air by opening clamp and letting coffee flow into toilet or bathtub drain for a few seconds and immediately reclamp.  Lubricate the enema pipe tip with olive oil.
  3. Place a large soft towel on the floor of the bathtub. The easiest way to self-administer an enema is to assume a knee-chest position.  Some people find it easier to lie on their right side with legs curled into the abdomen.
  4. Insert the short lubricated enema pipe tip into the rectum.  Slowly release the clamp to let the coffee flow in.   You can control the flow of liquid into your colon with adjusting the roll clamp.  It is easiest to administer this slowly.
  5. Retain the solution for 10 – 15 minutes if possible, but do not force yourself.  To encourage the liquid to reach all parts of the colon, lie on your left side for 3 minutes, your back for 3 minutes and your right side for 3 minutes.  You may hear or feel a squirting of fluid below your right rig cage.  Many people believe that this sensation is due to the release of toxin-laden bile.
  6. Empty the bowel.  If you are not able to hold all the fluid in with one enema, empty your bowel and repeat the procedure making sure to empty the bowel in between attempts.
  7. Wash the enema tip with soap and water.

Note: If you start to feel sick during the enema, or become dizzy, nauseous or feel faint, stop the enema.

to anne: Depends on a person's level of health. If someone has "terminal cancer", at least weekly for maintenance, but every day at first. For a person seeking prevention, maybe 3 or 4 times yearly and this could be incorporated into a seasonal body/liver/bowel detoxification program for great health.

How often do you recommend this?

This is a whole new market for Starbucks!

This is really helpful for people undergoing chemotherapy who experience constipation. It is also helpful as part of an aggressive detox program for those interested in preventive health. Personally, when it comes to coffee, this is the ONLY way I'll take it. (Hold the cream and sugar!) At least you're getting health benefits when you intake coffee in this way.
