How-to: Natural Support for Rheumatoid Arthritis

Posted July 24, 2007, by drLove

Rheumatoid arthritis is a very challenging disease to get a handle on even with the use of heavy duty pharmaceutical drugs. There have been very few natural regimes that I have seen work exceptionally well. The following is a regime that I have seen work really well to help improve RA and help people avoid potent drugs.

Ingredients:

  • gluten-free, dairy-free, sugar-free, alcohol-free, pork-free diet
  • Milk Thistle
  • Dandelion
  • Burdock
  • Serropeptidase
  • Borage oil GLA-240
  • Organic Flax
  • Corialis versicolor
  • BCQ (Boswellia, Curcumin, Quercetin)
  • MediClear
  • 2 1/2 litres of water

Steps:

    1.  Inform yourself on how to eat a hypoallergenic diet lifelong.  Use this program guide.
    2.  Drink 2 - 1l2L of water daily.
    3.  Take the supplements recommend above.  Dosage is dependent on individual tolerance and efficacy.  Typically go high on borage oil (6 capsules daily), high on Serropeptidase (6 capsules daily), and BCQ (6 capsules daily).  MediClear should be increased very, very slowly initially, i.e. 1 tsp daily and very slowly build up until you are taking 2 full scoops daily.
As a naturopathic physician I have prescribed sterolins, intravenous DMSO, etc. and didn't see much improvement in my patients.  I have seen good improvement with this regime.
