Sounds too good to be true to me! I told my husband about it and his ears perked up instantly and he is all of the sudden intersested in this site I have been telling him about . The stories I have read and written are not nearly as exciting as the prospect of eating something and losing weight while doing so. He would try anything and not be afraid of what it might adversely do to his body and I on the other hand am a little more reluctant to subject myself to something without knowing all the possible and potential adverse effects. I am glad Dr. Love is on board here to offer her expertise and I will be interested in her future dialogue after her trial. This is phase one of the clinical trial. I am glad Peter is offering to be the human guinea pig.
I was thinking about the relative interest in "spirit" stories versus "mind" or "body" one. To me, and I would think to most of us on this site, mind-body-spirit is a pretty seamless connection. So all of the different types of stories interest us. I think this is because they're all ultimately about health, love, and wisdom. For example, I'm going write about my "Food as 'Poison'" blog that I posted during this trial. There, I blogged about lots of downer mental states. When I posted that blog, I had thought the mental states came from the bread I was eating. Now I think they were more about the supplements jiggling up the fat in me, and getting ready to dump it. i.e. Seamless mind-body.
Yeah, I'm glad Dr. Love is going to give it a try too. Now we'll get a significant upgrade in the quality of the analysis and appraisal. :) I ordered some of the supplement bottles for her and they're sitting on my kitchen table waiting to be sent to her. But it will be summertime before we get any useful data, I think. I know for me, it took 7 weeks for the positive effects to start happening, and 9 weeks before I was sure about that trend. And I tend to respond fairly quickly to stuff. So this will be a farily long process. But fun and interesting!
