Creating Vision Boards

Posted April 22, 2007, by drLove

How my family and I celebrate New Year's Eve each year has changed quite a bit.  We used to do the party thing, but we have a different way of celebrating.

Each December 31st, our family purchases large boards (one for each member) from a stationary store.  It's thicker and larger than bristol board and is very sturdy.

We go to tourist travel centres and get their brochures, and use lots of other magazines we have at home.  We also get pictures off of the internet. (See Dreamstime)

We take all afternoon and all evening to create our works of art.  In taking this time, we focus in a creative way, the dreams we have for our life.  We talk about them.  We share them.  We cut them out of magazines.  We draw them freehand.  We write words.

My husband, daughter and I all had cut out pictures of snowboards and people who were expertly snowboarding down mountains pasted on our boards.  All of us are now snowboarding quite well and are having a blast doing it.

We have many more pictures and ideas on our board.  I look forward to writing more about the power of manifestation!!

Thanks for sharing your experiences. I will head off to the travel agent. That was a great suggestion. I will also book lots of time to create my vision board. I am really looking forward to this. Thanks.
