3 times a year?

Posted February 29, 2008

Wouldn't an "alcoholic" need to avoid being around alcohol all together?  You stated in your recipe " If you indulge, reserve it for a total of 3 times per year, and in minimal amounts."  Wouldnt alcohol still be hard and tempting to be around, even 3 x's a yr?

Other ingedients I agree with ( i.e. appreciation for the finer things in life:  awesome health, true intimacy and a desire to be high on life), etc.

Answer to: 3 times a year?
I'd agree that an alcoholic ought to abstain completely. True alcoholics are people who are addicted to pleasure. Until such a person completely overcomes this root addiction, abstaining seems like the best approach. However, for the rest of us garden-variety slobs with hangups other than addiction, 3 times a year can't hurt. :)
