Does anyone else out there experience eye floaters?

I am only 32 and am experiencing eye floaters. Does anyone out there know anything about this and perhaps a remedy? Responses from people who have personal experience with this is much appreciated. I have been researching it a bit online.

In response to the eye floater question, me too! I'm 45, and I've had them for decades. at least if we're talking about the same thing. Here's what I'm talking about:I look up to the ceiling because it's uniformly white (i.e. nothing to capture my eye focus). Then I focus my eyes at a distance of what seems to be a couple of inches away from my face. I see squigly lines ...

A very good description of eye floaters is found in Wikipedia.Basically, not a serious problem medically, just a nuisance.  However, sudden onset of floaters or flashes should be IMMEDIATELY seen by an optometrist/opthamologist as this could be an medical emergency (e.g. retinal detachment).I was interested to read on Wikipedia about surgery and laser.  I know nothing about this. ...
